Immunization/Vaccine Requirements
As part of the enrollment process, state guidelines require that we have an up-to-date copy of your student’s immunization record on file. Please submit a complete list of your child’s vaccines to the school within 30 days of enrollment. Please note that 7th graders have two new required vaccines!
Required Immunizations:
- Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined [DTaP]
- Polio [IPV, OPV]
- Measles-Mumps Rubella [MMR]
- Hepatitis B [Hep B]
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis [Tdap] - **New 7th Grade Requirement
- Meningococcal(MenACWY) - **New 7th Grade Requirement
Immunization records may be turned in to the front office during regular school hours. If you have any questions about the required documentation, our office staff will be happy to assist you.
Immunizations can be administered at the Buncombe County Health Departments at 40 Coxe Ave. Buncombe Health Department offers both walk-in and appt. Times as listed below:
- Call 828-250-5096 and make an appointment that fits your schedule (preferred).
- Walk-in hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 8 and 11:30am and on Tuesday and Thursday between 1 and 4:30pm.
- They will host evening hours on September 9th, 21st, and 22nd from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
