Meet the Teacher

Dear AMS Families,

We are excited to welcome you to Asheville Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year at the Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. This is a drop-in event, so you are welcome to come at any time that works for your family. Please note that the line is often longest right at 4:00, so arriving a bit later can make for a smoother experience.

You’ll begin in the gym, where you will pick up your child’s schedule and have the chance to connect with a wide range of school and community resources. There will be opportunities to:

  • Ask questions about student schedules

  • Meet our school counselors and health staff

  • Explore afterschool programming options

  • Learn about mentoring and enrichment opportunities

  • Update your information in Infinite Campus

  • Connect with community organizations that support students and families

After visiting the gym, you’ll be able to tour the building and meet your child’s teachers. This is a great opportunity for students to find their classrooms, get familiar with the layout of the school, and start building connections before the first day.
