Laptop Troubles? Try These Steps First

Start with basic troubleshooting steps:

  • Restart your computer
  • Make sure your charging cord is plugged in and not damaged
  • Make sure everything is typed correctly and capitalized when needed
  • Write down your username and password when you are sure they work
  • Be sure you know the difference between your username and email address
  • Open Canvas from the AMS website or from ClassLink
  • Ask a teacher for help

If you still have problems, then try the following next steps:

  1. Make sure your Chrome Operating System (OS) is up-to-date
  2. Clear Cache and Cookies (video)
  3. Reset your account on your Chromebook
  4. Reset Your Laptop Password (very helpful for fixing Canvas login issues)
  5. Request help if the steps above do not fix the problems
